The environment you'll enter with me will always be safe, open minded, and non judgmental.
I want to see the feral family dynamic, the couple that claims they're awkward, your real love, however that looks to you.
Show me the uncomfortable maternity Mama, the screaming newborn with frazzled parents,
the new business owner trying to find their brand.
Together we will capture the bonafide moments that make up your life.
Whoever you are, wherever you're at, I am here to appreciate you and create a space where you can appreciate yourself.
Perfection is not reality, and I want to showcase the beauty of all the moments, calm or chaotic.
I am a firm believer that everyone deserves amazing photographs hanging in their home.

Tara is absolutely amazing with what she does! She knew exactly what we wanted and made it happen! Our daughter has autism and she worked so beautifully with her. The Girl Behind The Lens
With me you're always going to get pure honest, open, silly, true to self Tara. I won't ever claim to be someone I'm not, an authentic photography experience is what I am all about.
My goal is that by being truly myself it makes it easy for you to be your comfortable natural self during your photo session, because your internal beauty and aura certainly shows through in your final images.
If you want to have an adventure for your session, I'm your gal! Time spent in nature, Taking the 4x4 out to explore with my husband, young son, and dogs, finding new beautiful places here in Armstrong + Vernon, the surrounding North Okanagan and all over British Columbia, that's what makes my heart full. When I'm not communing with the great outdoors, you're likely to find me on the porch swing reading, or making creative messes that take me weeks to clean up. I also run the administrative side of our trucking business!
Wondering where the Primer Rust and Roses name came from?! Hot rods, fast cars, old trucks, rumbling exhaust, burnouts, this girl is THERE! I don't care if it's shot coated with primer, covered in rust, or painted pretty as roses, I'll be rubberneckin the cool stuff so hard I get whiplash!
